A Ramsgate Town Council planning committee meeting took place on Monday evening. A unanimous decision was made that this planning application should not be allowed. All members agreeing that it is a totally inappropriate development for the location.A statement was made by the EARA which reflected the opinions of the majority from the immediate and surrounding areas.

To date over 70 objections have been lodged directly with the planning department, an online petition of over 270 names has also been lodged and over 500 people have joined a facebook group against this application.
According to the planning department there are two letters supporting the application. There are two other individuals in support of the application, the directors of the Acorn Homes - who of course, do not live in this community.
